• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending April 23rd

  • Most important hosting day approaches

MANSFIELD ladies will be hosting their annual bowl on Friday April 28, a most important date in the calendar.

Ladies from clubs all over the north east will descend on the club for the day – up to 100 players will be there vying for the ultimate prize, the Mansfield Bowl.

The local ladies will be busy preparing for the day – with raffles, and an auction table, as well as getting the competitors fed and waterted before and after the event.

It will be all hands to the pump on the day – if members can contribute in any way, contact the committee.

Good fields this week, with 13 ladies contesting Tuesday’s nine hole event.

Winner on the day was Anne Watkins with 16 points from Patsy Smiles on 15.

Line balls went to Robyn Baker, Shelly Comerford, Lorraine Wilson and Jenny Foster.

Wednesday’s stableford went to Gayle Wells in Division One with 38 points, from Sue Parsons on 33.

Division Two was won by Nikki Coffey with 36 from Glenis Skinner on 34.

Nicki Cooper again showed how accurate she is, with nearest the pins on the seventh and ninth holes.

Millie Cumming won nearest the pin on the 16th, Sue Wilson took the Pro Pin third hole and Glenis Skinner the Super Holes one to four.

Sue Wilson won the Shootout and Glenis Skinner the closest putt.

Line balls went to Lyn Poulson, Linda Terry, Lyn Holland, Marion Sargeant and Sue Wilson.

Thursday’s nine hole was won by Kay Rose (again) with 17 points from Anne Watkins on 16.

Saturday’s Stableford was won by Donna Sedgman with 35 from Nicki Coop0er on 33.

Sedgman also took the nearest the pin on the seventh, and Cooper took the Superholes.

Line balls went to Sue Parsons vand Gayle Wells.

Good luck to all the competing teams at the Bowl, and enjoy the course, which is in beautiful condition.
