• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending 18th August 2019

  • A quiet week for ladies golf.

Just 12 girls took on the course on Wednesday and the results for some (this writer in particular!) were very ugly. But Glenis Skinner managed to rise above the winter blues and score a nice 31 points to win the day, with Lyn Poulson closely following on 30 points for runner up. Line Balls went to Marg Knapp, Marion Foster, Sheryl Sargent Millie Cumming and Nicki Cooper. Glenis also won the hidden holes and Lyn the 3rd shot on the 18th.

On Thursday 3 Mansfield ladies travelled to Rutherglen to play in their annual Bowl and to also remember NE District stalwart Heather Eggleston from Rutherglen who passed away earlier in the year. The sun shone brightly for all and it was a lovely day of golf, but no trophies for our ladies!

On Saturday only 2 ladies braved it with Sue Parsons winning the Stableford event.
