• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending June 24th 2018

    Tuesday’s event saw 34 players out in some wintry sunshine for a stableford event.

    The winner was Oliver Pearson (2) with 36 points on a countback from Bob Speed (24) also with 36 points.

    Ball rundown went to 34 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Brendan Egan, on the seventh was Sam Sandhu, on the twelfth was Patrick Marks and on the sixteenth was Fred Rogers. The NTP second shot on the seventeenth was collected by Oliver Pearson, whilst the Best Score holes 13-18 was shared by Rob Healy and Oliver Pearson.

     

    Thursday’s event saw a happy field of 51 golfers wandering the course for the regular Stableford event with some good scores being returned. There were four players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Steve Chisholm (15) with an excellent score of 40 points on a countback from Taki Murakami (12) also with 40 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Bob Speed (24) with 38 points from Bill Moran (26) with 36 points.

    Ball run down went 34 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Dave Octigan on the third, Brad Grant on the seventh, Martin Slack on the ninth, John Hayes on the twelfth and Brad Grant on the sixteenth.
    Alan Parrott collected the NTP second shot on the tenth and Shaun Wade picked up the NTP second shot on the eighteenth. The best score on Par Threes was Taki Murakami. The rabbits were Les Wood and Geoff Lowry

    The Gold event saw Geoff Lowry (30) win with 40 points.

     

    Saturday saw a rather foggy start to the Gentsomes event, with 36 players out and about.

    The winners were the team of Lyn Holland, Alan Eustace, Fred Rogers and Bob Speed with 143 points from Geoff Payne, Peter Dolling, Rob Healy and Phil Conway with 135 points

    The ball rundown went to 128 points on a countback.

    Nearest the pin on the third was Mark Bettany, on the seventh was Mark Pearson, the ninth went Sam Sandhu, Jarrod Heath played a great shot on the twelfth and on the sixteenth was Alan Agar showed the boys how it is done. The ladies NTP’s went to Lyn Holland on the third and Linda Terry on the sixteenth.

    Mark Jones collected NTP third shot on the fourth, whilst the last place prize was presented to the tam of Kevin Jacobs, Linda Terry and Shelley Commerford.
